A shot of a work in progress I'm back in my element with my brain focused and my heart fully involved with my work . The new stuff will be more intricate and detailed than my previous stuff. I'm really enjoying thinking of new color palettes and trying to switch things up a bit. Carving out depths and even more layers. Someone just asked me what artist I was looking at for inspiration. I kind of look at a lot and also won't look at anyone for long stretches. I don't want to fall in love with a style and have something too derivative creep into my canvas. I'm sure it happens subconsciously as it is. But I do cite Murakami and Matthew Ritchie big time for their color and focus on movement and details. Nature and nature documentaries for subject and ideas. Graffiti for its color, intricate entangled design and boldness. I look at a lot really.
