Clustre, acrylic, latex, spray paint on canvas

The bats out of the bag. I had to turn in images that would be in the show to the press and so much for the secret keeping!
This was a major pain in the butt of a painting, clocking in over a week of full days working on it. If there was a way I could simplify the process and still achieve the zany results I'd do it!

I attempted to work on the two simultaneously, and did at first... Then my OCD kicked in and I wanted to see some results happen so finished this one then hopped over to the next one. I had to put a 2 x4 on the easel to serve as a long base to place them on side by side. They work together and they work alone but they look more eye catching as a diptych.

These are just craptastic photos from my digi cam. You can't see the nice two tone shadow work too well in the photos.
Im working on breaking out of my usual compositions, formulas and ideas... even color palettes, and putting in the time and work to go the extra mile on this body of work.
Working like this let's you maximize wall space, I'm contemplating a triptych but am not going to think about that mountain just yet.
I have my calendar mapped out with pushing to complete a painting a week (3' x 4') and working on the collaborative pieces and my own 3D endeavor. That will put me at the finish line just in time, and I am even calculating time for me being a lazy bum on a day or two and not painting.
It's kind of necessary for me to decompress after a painting and regroup ideas. Unfortunately I have to fast forward that process under this deadline.
I'm almost done with a new painting that is very exciting to me 😊
It's kicking my butt but worth it. Speaking of butt kicking, I've started up my strength training again. It feels SO good to not have an aching back! I can literally feel my back getting stronger and my muscles forming again. I've been cutting calories and doing sprints, low carb, more protein and feel better already. I make it a point to spend at least an hour a day rebuilding my body. Helps me paint longer and keeps me sane!
So that's where I'm at, steady on course with work for the show. Mindful of my health and ready to give it 100%!
