Terrible pic of Peter Murphy playing at Granada last night. I got last minute impromptu free tickets last night to see Peter Murphy and David J playing Bauhaus music last night. It was also a chance to see a friend I hadn't seen in ages...so while the 80 year old lady that already lives inside me was kicking to stay in I knew that was stupid and decided to go. Free tickets, Bauhaus, friends...that's good math. The show was GREAT and I enjoyed hearing all the old favorites and remembering the last time I saw the Bauhaus reunion at Bronco Bowl...before the 80 year old lady crawled under my skin and made residence in my bones.
It was a good reminder you carpe fu**in' diem while you can. You make time for friends and fun and music. You allow fun into your life. I'm thankful for the moment.
Last day of January and work is in full force- doing tax stuff for one side gig and paint project for another side gig. Buddha will happen tomorrow. So close to the finish line.
January was SUPER STRESSFUL financially but evened out at the very end. Now to keep everything up and running so I don't fall back down. But despite the money worries it was a productive month personally- the only thing I didn't accomplish that I intended to was play music. But because I can't let that happen- Im picking up my bass if even for 20 minutes today and getting my last goal in just under the wire.
Make it happen. Just make it happen.
Big thanks to everyone who follows my silly little mess of an art struggle! 😂
