Thanks Dad

Happy Father's Day Some people need a holiday to stop and remember to appreciate a person...I am not one of those people. And theres something beautiful and strange about a gift that Death gives you.... Full appreciation of that person forever, every day you are left behind on the planet without them. If you are smart you will heed the words of those who know... Appreciate them while they are here. Although I did appreciate my dad a there is still that desire to have done even more, to not have wasted my time, to have given even more of myself to the family instead of being so wrapped up in my own petty little day to day trials. My Dad was my protector, my wise man, my loyal rock in the world. He taught me to be my best, do it right the first time so you don't have to redo it, be self sufficient and be brave. He taught me to love music, love art, love life. He wanted the best for me and supported my decision to be an artist even though he warned me being a dentist

Back in Black

A mural work in progress Had to halt work in my studio for a hot minute to do some real world pay-the-rent kind of work. But as far as that kind of work goes it's a dream, pays very well, allowed me to design it and will be part of a live painting event for a lucrative set of people. If anything it will be fun and I'll have added another mural to my repertoire and hopefully make some connections, which usually happens. I was lucky to befriend an awesome artist who has the rare trait of trying to share the good fortune and work instead of secretly hoarding and being stingy like..., way too many Artists. I'm blessed to know the dude but I'll give him shout outs after the event since it's kinda mysterious right now about who the event is for. The mural will be finished at said event LIVE, so the guests can enjoy seeing the completion. But today it's back in the studio for me so I can work on my own show for the Kirk Hopper gallery. The tally is now: 3 co

Choppy Waters!

Yesterday's spray day Just a little update on where I'm at, not that anyone reads this... It's more for me to update myself and light a fire under my butt to hustle harder, I guess. So now I have 3 large canvases done for the show, 2 smaller pieces and finished 2 collaborative works. Yesterday I started the backgrounds for three smaller  works and will have 2 larger canvases to complete my goal. So 5 down, 5 to go and 2 more colab pieces waiting for my brushes. Ive complicated my work a bit to make things ever challenging, a  few new steps in my background process. This pieces have more depth and dimenson now Adding a new layer between sprays So I'm plenty busy with work but am starting to run out of cash... Not starting to really, but almost tapped out. I actually have about $200 to my name in this world and it's time to pay rent and that's not even enough to cover that. Usually I can hustle and sweat over some record commissions but I
