Back in the saddle!

I feel about as smiley as that photo would have you believe! 

I'm about to hit the gym for the first time in awhile and more importantly I'm about to go back to PiYo class which I have missed dearly. PiYo is a Pilates-Yoga fusion class with emphasis on strength training. There are some weights involved with your downward dogs and warrior poses. PiYo was so awesome for my health and back that I was easily addicted even though it is a HARD HARD class with lots of pain. Like tomorrow....I'm going to be so sore and crying for Epsom salt baths. I know this.
Hit the road yesterday for a 2.30 mile run and felt awesome. Not having pain in my day was cause to celebrate a working body. On the road to health and kicking the bad habits behind me...Spring cleaning if you will! Its nice having some time to take care of ME for a change. 
Started base coating a new canvas yesterday and liked the look of the spray so I tried it again, different colors and a whole different idea on this one. I'm excited to see it progress but I wont be documenting this one online. So much to do to kickstart my little art factory back into gear and get my health back in check. Fresh new starts are always wonderful.

Addicted

  Well it's official. I am addicted. Luckily to nothing horrible. It was bound to happen. I'm addicted to the morning walk...the endorphins...the serotonin...the "me" time....the solitude....the music pumping in my ears...the nature I see and feeling like I control my day.  I'm usually up before the sun and getting as much mileage as my body allows. Sometimes it's more than others but it's always good. I'm going to add in more sprints here and there as "burst" exercises are better for me than long running sessions.  Yes, even on the weekends I'm out doing it. There is no sleeping in and admittedly I woke up at 2:30am and started having my morning coffee in preparation... Even though I will wait till much later to go out. That's how I know it's an addiction.  Currently on Week 6 and haven't missed a workout or even postponed it. I showed up for myself and made myself a priority every morning. I am proud of that and so much LESS...

Words!

  Hello! I haven't blogged since last year. Even writing the word "blog" felt foreign and weird! I have actually been writing stuff on my Patreon account so if you've missed the updates you can sign up for free over there. There is also an option to pay a few dollars a month to help support me as an artist and get "extra" content- in case you are of that mindset and either way- thank you for caring about the art adventures.  I have missed blogging actually. I guess I like to make words, string them together like a pretty necklace and let them live their own expressive life wrapped around me.  Times are different. Times are weird! But I guess you know that. And also times are the same and as old as time. Is it really more terrible than any other time or are we humans just more "connected" to the propaganda and daily bad trip in a way that is insane and unhealthy? Shoot for the Stars! Latest painted record featuring Han Solo AVAILABLE ($50) Theres a beautiful rain falling this Friday morning, it's a quiet steady and soft rain. The complete opposite of how it started....loud thunder cracking, waking me up from sleepyland and making my computers blink. Now it's just a little drip drip and quietude. Rain makes primering a no go since I primer outside. I am looking for the perfect large box to spray in, this will ease a lot of trouble with tree detritus landing on a barely sprayed record and wreaking havoc. My house was busy yesterday with order drop off and order pickup and then a graphic design job I was waiting to hear about popped up so I'm officially BUSY for the next two weeks at  least.
