Reclaiming your path

                  Reclaiming your path
I don't do a lot of "selfies" anymore but I dropped about 13 lbs and wanted to capture the moment on my face. I'm reclaiming my health and body and that is major for me.
Since reading up on hormone balancing and adding DIM and natural progesterone cream into my regiment I've actually been seeing the scale go DOWN as opposed to nowhere. Endometriosis and the birth control pills I have to take continuously to keep my body shut off wreak havoc in other ways and its a painful tradeoff but a necessary one.
Aside from a once in a blue moon dance with "real pizza" I'm pretty much off the gluten and minimized my "corn intake". Those two things are inflammatory to me and the goal is to put out the fire in my body.
After months of hiding from my gym I went back and loved the BURN in my arms and abs. I'm looking forward to resculpting what my illness took away.
It's the beginning of a new month and I feel like I'm steady on track taking care of necessary things.
Necessary things like NEW BUSINESS CARDS! Happy day! It feels good to get this one off my TO DO list. Im revamping my whole business and it feels GREAT!
It's a new month and it's time to write out new goals and look FORWARD.
It's easy to look back, stay in the past and not be right here in the moment exacting change and care for what's in your life right now. It's hard to bring your spirit into the here and now when it wants to attach to past things.
But its the healthiest and happiest thing you can do today.
Be present in your present- and I'm working with this as well.
Enjoy the week my friends! Stay creative!

Words!

Hello! I haven't blogged since last year. Even writing the word "blog" felt foreign and weird! I have actually been writing stuff on my Patreon account so if you've missed the updates you can sign up for free over there. There is also an option to pay a few dollars a month to help support me as an artist and get "extra" content- in case you are of that mindset and either way- thank you for caring about the art adventures.  I have missed blogging actually. I guess I like to make words, string them together like a pretty necklace and let them live their own expressive life wrapped around me.  Times are different. Times are weird! But I guess you know that. And also times are the same and as old as time. Is it really more terrible than any other time or are we humans just more "connected" to the propaganda and daily bad trip in a way that is insane and unhealthy? Either way I do my best to keep my sanity and I don't believe about 98% of what I s...

Taming the monster

What started as me deciding to spend 30 minutes picking out clothes to donate from my closet .. Turned into about 2 hours of folding t shirts, jeans and deciding winter was far enough away that all sweaters and coats could be packed away. My closet was a walk-in diaster. My cat had lived in it all winter, knocked stuff down, slept on it, fuzzed up clothes and built forts. No lie.  I had been living in the same two pairs of jeans and 5 shirts off my bedroom floor (closet #2 😂). First things first, all the T shirts from OLD JOBS were the first to get put in donation pile. I don't need memories of "that place" and they were all too small, waaay too large or tan/beige/grey ..all the wrong unhappy colors that just say JOB when you look at them. Bye! So that happened yesterday. Major project that still needs work but for now it is peaceful enough to my brain to leave it alone. I have two large loads of laundry to do because my clothes look like...well like a cat has been sleep...

The calm during the storm

Fist Pumps! Cool rainy weather has hit Dallas. Just in time for the opening of the State Fair of Texas and Oktoberfest...which I just happened to be at yesterday by happenstance. Oktoberfest that is, not the Fair. No, I did not have any bier. I did have a fun time walking around between biergartens and weiner dog races in the rain with good company though! I had to drop off my piece "FLOURISH" to a place in McKinney Tx called ORISONS who will be having a gallery walk in a few weeks. There were a lot of people down there for the festivities so they wanted the work to show off to all the traffic. It's been quite a week(end) and I just wanted to pop off a blog to say thanks to everyone who has been supporting by coming to the shows and making purchases and just high fiving me on facebook, etc. THANKS SO MUCH! I've been working my tail off in the studio- that's the part you don't see...but hopefully you can see it in my work when it's done. All the t...
