Cue Benny Hill theme music!

Benny Hill, when I was a kid I thought he and Ozzy Osbourne were one and the same!

Bowie madness continues. Alladin Sane. Ziggy Stardust mania. Record painting every day! My goal is to finish ONE more by tomorrow and....I can do this....just gotta buckle down and not think about all the other things piling up. They will get done. Like surprise graphic design deadlines. People I thought were on vacation coming back and needing things done this week. Shipping out stuff. It will all get done, especially if I run around like a sped up film while the Benny Hill theme music plays. That will make stuff get done a LOT faster and make me laugh too. In fact I think I'm going to put that song into my ipod so when I go running I can laugh my ass off.
Getting my hair snipped today! Writing my bio for the Origin magazine feature! Finishing another record and making dreaded phone calls! I hate phone calls. I hate the phone. It's important business and must be done though. I'll be taking the finished Harajuku records to the salon with me where they will hang. And speaking of records, here is yesterdays offering:
for the Sacred David Bowie Art Show at Wine Therapist this Saturday
Ok, time to run. Literally. I made the mistake of weighing myself at the gym last week and was not happy to learn that eating ice cream sundaes actually DOES pack on the pounds. I know. Unthinkable. Criminal even!

Words!

Hello! I haven't blogged since last year. Even writing the word "blog" felt foreign and weird! I have actually been writing stuff on my Patreon account so if you've missed the updates you can sign up for free over there. There is also an option to pay a few dollars a month to help support me as an artist and get "extra" content- in case you are of that mindset and either way- thank you for caring about the art adventures.  I have missed blogging actually. I guess I like to make words, string them together like a pretty necklace and let them live their own expressive life wrapped around me.  Times are different. Times are weird! But I guess you know that. And also times are the same and as old as time. Is it really more terrible than any other time or are we humans just more "connected" to the propaganda and daily bad trip in a way that is insane and unhealthy? Either way I do my best to keep my sanity and I don't believe about 98% of what I s...

The Age of Upgrade

BIG BATCH OF HAND PAINTED WAX FOR SAN FRANCISCO I wanted to do a  blog about the upgrade I'm doing and why. Because I am an artist and not a business person I have been lax on so many things I shouldn't have been and caused myself a lot of headaches. This was a year of growing pains for my business and days before my birthday I decided my new age of 39 would be one of grand changes. For starters...I'm typing this on an old Android phone. It's the only equipment I have. My old Mac finally gave up the ghost and I can no longer do any graphic designing in Photoshop or even save files. This will need to be upgraded, I need a computer. Let's talk about vinyl though...I started doing the vinyl about 6 years ago and they were pretty basic novice attempts at painting on vinyl. After many experiments, failures and tons of practice... I have brought them into their own. They started as $30 discs and climbed as I got better. I marked everything DOWN to $50 this year...

The calm during the storm

Fist Pumps! Cool rainy weather has hit Dallas. Just in time for the opening of the State Fair of Texas and Oktoberfest...which I just happened to be at yesterday by happenstance. Oktoberfest that is, not the Fair. No, I did not have any bier. I did have a fun time walking around between biergartens and weiner dog races in the rain with good company though! I had to drop off my piece "FLOURISH" to a place in McKinney Tx called ORISONS who will be having a gallery walk in a few weeks. There were a lot of people down there for the festivities so they wanted the work to show off to all the traffic. It's been quite a week(end) and I just wanted to pop off a blog to say thanks to everyone who has been supporting by coming to the shows and making purchases and just high fiving me on facebook, etc. THANKS SO MUCH! I've been working my tail off in the studio- that's the part you don't see...but hopefully you can see it in my work when it's done. All the t...
